Pokémon Unite beta gameplay footage removed from YouTube due to violation of rules

The regional beta testing for the upcoming title Pokémon Unite has started in Canada and video footage has cropped up on YouTube already. Pokémon Unite was met with a lukewarm reception when it was revealed in the Pokémon Presents video presentation last summer; it’s a free-to-play, multiplayer online battle arena video game developed by TiMi Studios and published by The Pokémon Company for Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.

Some beta testers are having their footage removed from YouTube soon after it’s uploaded and this is down to a violation of rules which clearly state “capture or streaming of gameplay is not allowed during the regional beta test.”

As Twitter account @CentroLeaks pointed out yesterday, there’s a few screen grabs that show us how the game will make money with a Battle Pass as well as some gameplay footage that, at the time of writing, has not been taken down:
